The polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) membrane is used for the filtration of aggressive chemicals, including acids and non-aqueous solvents, as well as for GC and HPLC sample preparation. Since it has a low flow resistance to gases, the membrane is also used for air and gas filtration (extraction and ventilation tasks). PTFE membranes are highly inert and hydrophobic (can also be made hydrophilic through wetting, e.g. with ethanol). With ultrasonically welded housing.
The filtration attachments are only suitable for laboratory purposes and not for in-vitro diagnostics or human medicine.
